SVAS has started three different Award Programs in order to encourage our members to become more involved in the hobby and expand the knowledge of keeping and breeding aquarium fish.

Breeders Award Program (BAP)
The BAP exists to encourage members to propagate the different types of fish they keep, points are awarded based on the degree of difficulty in getting them to breed.

Horticulture Award Program (HAP)
Similar to the BAP, the HAP encourages members to propagate the aquarium plants they grow in their aquariums. Points are awarded based on the difficulty of the plant.

Authors Award Program (AAP)
The AAP encourages members to submit articles for the SVAS website and/or the newsletter, to increase our knowledge within the tropical fish hobby.
